The Great Chocolate Chase [Game Download] Review
The Great Chocolate Chase is a great addition to the series - but is unlike the usual games in actual gameplay. Rather than focusing mainly on gathering the resources and creating the chocolate, you are focused on actually serving it to your customers. If you like games like Diner Dash and Cake Mania, you'll probably enjoy this.
I personally found that it got very challenging very quickly, but my tolerance for manic serving and incredibly impatient customers has been reduced by a previous real-life job of serving frozen treats to customers. (I find it a little odd and amusing that I generally enjoy games of this sort, but get turned off when the challenge rating of serving the customers is ramped up too quickly to adjust to.)
The artwork is grand, bringing to mind all that is wonderful of steampunk or Victoriana, with wonderful customers such as the avatrix. When the locations change, you gain access to new types of treats, a new business location, and new upgrades - making the game a little bit more 'fresh' with each level.
However, if you're like me (or have even less patience for this sort of game), you may want to play a serving game that isn't quite so fast-paced. Try the demo and see if you think you can keep up enough to make it worth your purchase. :)
